]]>Baseball lovers in South Korea will find a huge wealth of attractions and stadiums to check out. Here are three great places to see a game in the country.
The festival atmosphere at Daegu Samsung Lions Park in the city of Daegu is no surprise given the massive success of their home team. 24,000 fans regularly pack the stands at this almost new stadium, where fans are guaranteed to have fun.
While baseball in South Korea is now quite popular, this wasn’t always the case. In fact, when Jamsil Baseball Stadium was built in Seoul in 1982, it was the only major baseball stadium in the country. It maintains its quaint charm and is a great park to visit in the country’s capital.
The Kia Tigers, the most successful team in the history of the Korean league, play their games at this stadium, the newest in the league. Its modern attractions and two tiers of seats holding over 22,000 fans are the perfect combination of state-of-the-art and Korean baseball tradition.

]]>America’s national pastime isn’t just a sport. It’s a community experience where family and friends gather to spend a warm evening together outside, eating, drinking, and watching a game.
If you want to check out this sport, here are four stadiums that you must visit.
The oldest MLB stadium currently in use is Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. Any baseball fan must see a game here due to its fantastic gameday atmosphere and the grandeur of the Green Monster, a massive 37-foot high fall that dominates left field.
Located right next to San Francisco Bay, this 21st-century park that plays host to the San Francisco Giants is a beauty. You can watch the sun set over McCovey Cove and marvel at the most gorgeous backdrop in baseball here.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like if Gotham City had a team, go to the Pittsburgh Pirates’ home. Pittsburgh’s known as the Steel City, and it’s grey, jaw-dropping skyline is a sight to behold.
Recently renovated, the gameday experience at America’s second-oldest park is top-notch. Sitting in the bleachers at Wrigley on a summer afternoon with a cold beer in your hand is about as sublime as it gets.

]]>Travelers to Japan that have an interest in this sport can take in a professional baseball game in the world’s second-best league, known as Nippon Professional Baseball.
The Greater Tokyo area itself has 5 of the league’s 12 teams, including the Yomiuri Giants, the league’s most successful team that has won 22 league titles. They play in the world-famous Tokyo Dome which provides spectators with a raucous, almost party-like atmosphere.
Those interested in the history of baseball in Japan can also visit The Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum to learn more about the origins of the game in the Pacific country, dating back to the late 1800s, as well as the figures such as Ichiro Suzuki and Sadaharu Oh that have helped to popularize Japanese baseball to a more international audience.
While many see baseball as only the American national pastime, visitors to Tokyo can easily discover that the game’s popularity extends to Japan as well.
