So Many People Are Booking Flights to Nowhere and It’s Not the Greatest Thing

2020 will always be remembered as the year when the world stopped traveling for a while. While many people miss it, some have found a creative way to recreate the feeling of flying without actually going anywhere.

Believe it or not, airline companies are offering “flights to nowhere” and people are not hesitating to board a plane that won’t take them to any new destination.

“Flights to nowhere” basically means that you board a plane at the local airport, fly for a few hours, and get back to the same airport.

While we understand that people miss traveling, going on vacations, and exploring new places, it’s difficult to see the appeal in the least enjoyable part of travel. Paying for a plane ticket (and packing a suitcase?) just to have a meal on the plane sounds beyond excessive, yet companies around the world are making a profit of it.

At some places, the tickets cost over $2,500 and the flights last for 12 hours. We don’t have to tell you how bad this is for the environment. Flying commercial plains just for the sake of flying is something we can’t justify.
