Leaving teenagers home alone is a risky business, and you never know what you’re going to stumble upon once you come back. If teen movies thought us anything, it’s that once you leave teens on their own, your home will look completely different when you get back.
That’s exactly what happened after Chip and Karen Schoonover returned home from a week-long vacation – but not in the way you think. No crazy shenanigans or wild parties took place inside their house, but their four daughters were definitely up to something.

No Expectations
Chip and Karen Schoonover kept their expectations low when they asked their daughters to house-sit for them while they were on vacation. They did their best to raise them right, but teenagers can get really unpredictable when they’re left on their own.

The Schoonovers hoped they won’t stumble upon the aftermath of a wild party once they get back, since it’s not unusual for teens to go a little bit crazy in their parent’s absence. Best case scenario, the house would still look the same as it did when they left it.
Short Vacation
The Schoonovers’ home town of North Myrtle Beach in South Carolina is a pretty popular tourist spot, but they still feel like getting away from it every once in a while. The weather in December wasn’t so great, and they were craving a change of scenery.

Chip and Karen weren’t sure it’s a good idea at first, but they eventually decided to hit the road. Their four daughters were mature enough to take care of the house while they enjoyed the well-earned vacation they’ve been dreaming of.
Special Names
Chip and Karen picked special names for their four special daughters. They were all unique in their own right, but had one thing in common – all names began with the letter “H”.

Their oldest daughter Heather was no longer a teen, and she already moved out and tied the knot years before this story took place. She still had a special bond with her younger sisters Hollie, Halice, and Haley, who had no trouble convincing her to help them prepare a special surprise for their parents.
Main Mastermind
Hollie was the main mastermind behind this operation, which left her parents awestruck once they returned home. She wanted to prepare the most amazing Christmas surprise they’ve ever received, and managed to convince the rest of her siblings to join in.

They weren’t as skilled as Hollie, but she guided them every step of the way, and they’ve started working on their top-secret project as soon as their parents left. The parents had no idea something extraordinary was coming their way after waving their daughters goodbye that day.
Behind the Camera
Hollie was the one who came up with the idea for their Christmas surprise, but she wasn’t the only creative soul in the family. The youngest sister Haley enjoyed being behind the camera, and she was the one who recorded the entire process.

The role of camerawoman was nothing new for Haley, who enjoyed filming others for years. She used to film makeup videos alongside Hollie when they were younger, and the dynamic they’ve developed fully prepared them for their new secret mission.
Different Ambitions
Despite the fact all of their names started with the letter “H”, the Schoonover sister all have different aspirations and ambitions in life. Hollie and Haley are the creative ones, while Halice dreams of having a successful academic career, just like her older sister Heather.

Halice started attending Coastal Carolina University, with an ambition to become the proud holder of a university degree. Heather, who already has a degree, dreams of getting a master’s degree in physical therapy sometime in the future.
