The whole point of road signs is to get important messages across in a clear and concise manner. And typically, when you see a sign, it’s for some sort of warning like wet floor, speed limits/roadwork, or maybe even something like directions (in the form of an arrow) for how to get to the bathroom.

But these ones that we’ve got for you are a little bit different than your typical everyday road construction sign. These hilarious signs will have you laughing your booty off!
A Nightmare on Elm Drive
Look at all of the sad, but hilarious contradiction here. Apparently, there are dead ends and no outlets for the detour route, but then the lots are opened to specific dorms.

And on top of that there’s no consistency either! They spelled the closed streets differently (Elm Drive and Babcock Dr.), and don’t even get us started on the brown flags attached to the stop sign…
Right Place, Right Time
Well, well, well. What have we here? The irony is definitely not lost on us! These are either two perfectly placed signs, or someone in the area had some pretty dark and twisted humor and jumped on this opportunity to add the “dead end” sign beneath the road sign.

But the one thing that has left us with question marks in our minds is the name of the camp/road.
Heads Up! Literally, Lift Your Heads Up!
Texting while driving is usually one of the biggest issues that people have when it comes to being safe on the road. But cross-walking while texting is also a very big problem that’s surfaced in recent years.

But these folks decided to put up a sign to remind people to look both ways and continue to look straight before and while crossing. Only problem is, how will these texting-and-walking people see the sign if they’re busy looking down on their phone?
Typee-O
Oh boy! Looks like a royally messed up this road construction speed limit sign. Either that, or the sign isn’t fully functioning and caused the word “speed” to say “pee”.

Bathroom humor isn’t everyone’s flavor of humor, but you can’t deny that this is a pretty funny sign to be reading while you’re driving down the road. We just hope people knew to slow down to 25 MPH, despite this type-o.
“Sorry About the Mess”
One of the most important things in life is to accept who you are and understand what your strengths and weaknesses are in life. Just like whoever wrote this sign.

They know they’re not one to keep things clean and tidy around the house, and have chosen to just accept the fact that it always looks like someone got into a brawl and knocked things all over the place.
(Not) One Direction
We’re used to seeing road signs showing which upcoming “turn” you’re going to need to make due to the road or pathway, but have you ever seen one like this?

This looks like one of those signs you would see in a theme park or something, not a street that you drive on. Good luck getting your GPA to tell you where to go on this road!
