6 Rare Wild Animals to Spot in India

Bengal tiger

This big cat is the national animal of both India and Bangladesh, with 70% of the world’s Bengal tigers living in the tropical forests, swamps and grass jungles of the former.

Black buck

In recent years, the number of black bucks, or Indian antelopes has drastically declined due to poaching and habitat destruction. Still, they can be found in large numbers in the plains of India.

Lion tailed macaque

The lion-tailed macaque can be found in isolated pockets of the Western Ghats mountain range.

Snow leopard
