3 Great Gift Ideas for Travelers in 2020

If you have a dear traveler in your life who feels down for not being able to see places right now, perhaps a nice gift can make their day better. Here are some of our favorite gift ideas for travelers in 2020.

Subscription Boxes

There are many travel-themed subscription boxes to choose from and our favorite may be food subscription boxes. They offer a chance to try specialties from all around the world and can either be focused on a certain country or region or send you random content every time.

Books

Many travelers also enjoy books—the stories allow them to “travel” even when they can’t. Perhaps your traveler friend has a favorite author from a certain country or there’s a new travel-themed book you can get them. Whatever you choose, chances are they’re going to love it.

🧡🌎𝐌𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝🌏💙⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I’m a sucker for a booksta challenge, lol, so created my own! And naturally it had to be travel related 😆 I love books which transport you to another place entirely and leave you longing to visit or to learn more, so I’ve started a lil #mybooksaroundtheworld tag! ⁣⁣ Just a collection of books that contain place names in the title 🗺⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ As the world starts slowly opening up again and people are able to travel more, it’s nice to start thinking about future trips and holidays! Now that I’m back flying and passed my annual cabin crew exams yesterday (phew!) it’s nice to look forward to when we can all get back to travelling safely✌🏼 thank you to everyone who wished me luck, honestly so lovely of you!!! 🥰⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Of course there’s literally no pressure to join in but if you do then please use the hashtag #mybooksaroundtheworld & tag me as I’d love to see them! ⁣⁣I’ve tagged a few of you but if you’re reading this then I tag you too 🥰 ⁣⁣ Out of mine pictured I have only visited London & Chesil Beach 😂 I was meant to be doing an East coast road trip that included the Hamptons, but that is postponed till further notice 😬 I would be really interested to visit Auschwitz – but I know it would be really heavy. ⁣⁣ ‘It Happens in the Hamptons’ by @hollypetersonny is one of my fave summer reads ever! It explores the social and class differences in the Hamptons which I found really interesting. She has a second book out ‘It’s Hot in the Hamptons’ which I HAVE to get my mits on lol 🌊 ⁣⁣ 𝐈’𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐯𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝? & 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝? ✈️

Gifts

You can find many different gifts on Etsy or in local stores, depending on where you live. If you know your friend is crazy about some country, that fact may hide the perfect gift opportunity. Just be creative and avoid common gifts like Matryoshka dolls from Russia or Venice masks—unless you’re sure that’s what their collection is missing.
