While it may have been launched in 2018, the high-speed Brightline train has now begun to make waves as the solution to Florida’s traffic congestion. Aside from work commutes, however, this train is ideal for tourists hoping to explore everything that the State of Florida has to offer, from the theme parks in Orlando to the beaches and nightlife in Miami. Here’s why you should embark on the Brightline Train the next time you’re in Florida.

Originally travelling between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, the Brightline train opened up to a whole host of new destinations ever since, including West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Aventura. In fact, this line is so efficient that you can travel all the way from Orlando to Miami in just three hours. By car, this journey can take over four hours with traffic.

“We’re not really used to trains [in Florida], but for a lot of the rest of the world, it’s second nature to catch trains,” Dr. Stephen Pratt of the University of Central Florida explained. It therefore comes as little surprise that according to Orlando’s tourism board, the city welcomed 6.12 million international tourists in 2023, a 25% increase from the previous year, thanks to its improved transportation system and easy accessibility.

With its warm weather all year round and its many natural sights and recreational activities, Florida is an ideal state to go glamping in. From ideal places for Manatee sightings to alternative housing such as treehouses and houseboats, here are the best glamping locations in Florida the next time you’re in the mood to experience the wild.

Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo

If you’re looking for an authentic Western experience, then this “dude” ranch is sure to exceed all expectations, even allowing you to sleep in covered wagons just like the Old West. In addition to its weekly rodeo, this ranch offers you the chance to ride a mechanical bull and enjoy some horseback riding while there’s also a petting zoo for the kids.

The Crystalmarine Houseboat Suite

Located on the island of Key West in the Florida Keys, this romantic suite is perfect for a secluded couples getaway, anchored five minutes out from shore. But just because you’re on a boat doesn’t mean that you’ll be devoid of luxuries, with a fully-equipped kitchenette and an en-suite bathroom with a rainfall shower at your disposal.

Treehouse Cabin Retreat, Old Town

This charming property offers you the choice between staying in a tree house and a cabin. When you’re not inside, you can enjoy stargazing from its heavenly hammock and belting ballads from the campfire ring.
