Uruguay is ranked towards the end of South America’s countries with the most tourists. This shouldn’t be considered a bad thing, as you’ll have the opportunity to explore the country without having to deal with large crowds.
Uruguay’s shoreline is home to some of the best and most beautiful beaches on the continent. They offer great opportunities for swimming, water sports, relaxing, and much more.
If you like to eat meat, you’ll feel in heaven in Uruguay. The country is famous for its love for beef, and you’ll be able to taste some of the best barbecues and steaks in the world.
You won’t need to break the bank to visit Uruguay. While the flights to the country might be on the pricey side, you will be able to make up for that with budget-friendly accommodation prices and by paying less for food and drinks.
Enjoying something you are passionate about isn’t all that difficult in Uruguay. If you are into the outdoors, Uruguay has plenty of natural wonders to offer. Art and history buffs can enjoy exploring museums and galleries with astonishing collections. Those looking to party will be surprised with the quality of Uruguay’s nightlife. ]]>If you decide on a beach trip to Uruguay in the near future, here are three beaches that you absolutely must check out.
Punta del Este is Uruguay’s most famous beach destination, and my favorite beach to visit in Punta del Este is Playa Brava. A huge stretch of sand that’s calm and popular with surfers due to its occasionally strong waves, you can get the best of both worlds in Punta del Este at this beach.
The sea is calm and the beach is full of soft sand at Playa Neptunia, a beautiful spot located at the discharge of Pando Creek into the Atlantic Ocean. Crowds are small here, meaning that it is one of Uruguay’s best beaches to simply relax at.
Just a few miles from the Brazilian border is Playa del Rivero, one of southeast Uruguay’s most popular beach destinations. Frequented by both Uruguayans and Brazilians, you’ll find a friendly company and a scenic setting at this pretty beach.
