The city of Rishikesh, located in central India, is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Rishikesh is a cultural and spiritual center in mainland India and is the birthplace of yoga. In Rishikesh, you will find ancient temples, white beaches on the banks of the Ganges, excellent Indian food, Nepali influences, and more.

Rishikesh is a recommended destination for backpackers and is very cheap. You can stay in one of the guest houses in the city’s tourist center, for 10$ a night. Accommodation will be basic and simple, but you will enjoy a real sense of freedom, great weather, amazing food, and a variety of attractions.

It is especially recommended to rent a scooter and drive on one of the rural paths around the city and visit one of the waterfalls located on the city outskirts.

For those interested in more luxurious hospitality, there are options such as hotels and the Swiss guest house that also serves as a center for yoga and meditation studies.

Arriving in Rishikesh is by train or bus and the preferred season to visit is between the months of September and January when the rainy season in the area ends, and the weather is pleasant.

"Acceptance is all about seeing reality, seeing things as they actually are, not as we hope or wish them to be. And from that place of total alignment with what is, all creative, loving, and intelligent action flows naturally." Jeff Foster I have to admit that I was a bit scared to make online classes before, because I'm not very good with technology at all. Actually, it's getting a lot of fun to learn all of these new things, to play with the camera, editing videos, looking into how I could improve them, and the best part, seeing everyone PRACTICING and CONNECTING form all over the world. 🌎 This makes me sooooo happy and content. 💓 Yes, a lot of patience is required in the process as I always see something I could improve or make it better. Yoga has become a popular activity in recent years for people that are simply looking to relax. This discipline combines poses, controlled breathing, and meditation to help make both the body and mind healthier.

If there is something in this world that sounds like the opposite of yoga, it’s airplane travel. Cramped seats, delays, strict security, and lengthy layovers are enough to drive anyone mad and send stress levels through the roof.

So, how can we combat that? With yoga, of course!

It can be extremely handy and helpful to take a small yoga mat along with you in your carry-on bag if you’ll be traveling by plane. Airports are spacious places that provide plenty of room for you to get away from everyone else, roll out your yoga mat, and relax if you need to.

Yoga mats are small and can easily be rolled up, and you might be surprised that you can easily pack yours in a carry-on.

Airlines and air travel are as cumbersome as ever right now, but it’s important to stay healthy and happy during the midst of your travel. If you find yourself getting overwhelmed or anxious while traveling, a quick yoga session is a perfect way to regain control of your body and mind.

For these reasons, definitely consider taking a yoga mat on your next trip with you.
