Museums that celebrate Israel’s rich historical and cultural heritage are scattered all around Tel Aviv, and some of them just happen to be dedicated to art. Art lovers will feel right at home in this city, especially if they end up checking out these three museums.

Tel Aviv Museum of Art

This museum is worth the visit for its spectacular building alone, but the real magic starts once you step inside. It’s best known for its modern and contemporary art collection, showcasing both Israeli and international artists, but its sculpture garden is also a sight to behold.

Nahum Gutman Museum of Art

Nahum Gutman Museum of Art is another great place to explore Israel’s thriving art scene. As its name suggests, this museum mainly serves as the display of Nahum Gutman’s works of art, but it’s also open to young contemporary artists who want to showcase their works.

Design Museum Holon

Just like Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Holon is one of those museums that are equally impressive both inside and out. Its colorful building is impossible to miss, and its collection includes everything from historical and contemporary design to furniture and fashion pieces.

This, together with its wonderful climate, mesmerizing old town and roaring nightlife, has made Tel Aviv one of the hottest locations in the world today.

For those who love chilling by the sea, Tel Aviv offers long stretches of white-sand beaches against a backdrop of perfect blue. Considering that the region gets 300+ days of sunshine during the year, this is the ideal place for beach lovers.

Some people think coffee is just coffee, and a cold drink is nothing more than a cold drink. But, at Cafe Levinsky 41 in Tel Aviv, it’s so much more than that. Instead of doing regular coffees and drinks, this cafe makes an old-fashioned type of soda by using coffee and other types of drinks mixed with soda water to create bubbly and delicious drinks!

The best part about this spot is that it’s right in the middle of the Levinsky Market, which is such a cool market with so many stalls of dried fruits, nuts, and more. Since the street is pretty small and there isn’t much place to sit, instead of sitting area there’s an old pick-up truck where they’ve put in places to sit! The truck is actually really sweet looking because they cover it in plants and flowers, which gives it a great ambiance.

Some of the drinks they make are super over the top in their garnishes, which makes the experience even better! And because they’re using just bubbly water with other mix-ins, it’s a lot healthier than traditional sodas. So the next time you’re in Tel Aviv, you have to check out this unusual cafe!

Tel Aviv, Israel, is full of authentic, insanely delicious Asian food.

While you might think it’s strange, Israelis love to travel to Asia, and the flavors and colors of these countries have a way of making their way back to Israel.

So, if you don’t want to go all the way to Asia but want high end and authentic dishes, visit these restaurants in Tel Aviv.

Kab Kem

Kab Kem is a true celebration of Thai food in every aspect. From the food to the lively atmosphere, the restaurant does a real service to Thai culture. There are a plethora of meat and vegetarian dishes that use traditional Thai flavors to make everything just delicious.

Taizu

This restaurant brings Southeast Asian food to the forefront with a slightly modern twist. But, throughout the food, you can taste the flavors of each country that is being represented.

The chef, Yuval Ben Neriah, has done extensive traveling in these countries, and his understanding of the palette is clear in the dishes.

Ya-Pan

Ya-Pan is the place to go for a true Japanese experience. The izakaya style of dining which is much less formal than regular Japanese eating is the basis for this restaurant, and the restaurant does a great job of keeping all the authentic flavors but mixing them with an Israeli perspective.

A lot of people think that Israel must be a conservative country since it’s in the Middle East. However, it’s actually one of the most liberal in the region, especially the city of Tel Aviv.

For over 25 years, Tel Aviv has put on pride, and they do it up super big. So, if you’ve been looking for an excuse to go to Tel Aviv or you’re going to be there already during pride, you have to check it out!

A week before the pride parade even takes off there will be parties every day at Hilton Beach, which is known as the gay beach in Tel Aviv. The parties will have awesome DJs and other live performances that will go on throughout the day! There’s no better way to get yourself pumped up for pride than with a week of partying on the beach.

The parade itself is amazing and will be full of people from the LGBTQ community and allies. You’ll also see the amazing drag queens of Tel Aviv and probably some celebrities as well. After the parade, there are always parties all over, including the days after, in both clubs, the expo center, and even outside in Park Hayarkon.
