That’s because the set for this movie was built near Tozeur, and its leftovers are still around, in the middle of the desert, attracting people from all around the world.
Tozeur actually isn’t the only place you should check out if you’re a Star Wars lover visiting Tunisia. Several movies from the popular franchise were filmed in this African country, and abandoned locations can now be found all across the country.
There are even guided tours from Tozeur that offer you the opportunity to explore several filming locations at once. To make the whole thing even better, Star Wars movies weren’t the only ones filmed in Tozeur—this city also served as a backdrop for Raiders of the Lost Ark and The English Patient.

The decoration in the massive villa was designed to make you feel like you’ve traveled to the galaxy far, far away. They are inspired by different locations and motifs from the movies, including Millennium Falcon, Cloud City, and Endor.
Those lucky enough to stay in this Star Wars-themed villa with their friends and family can enjoy a long list of amenities. Twelve Parsecs comes with access to the Champions Gate Oasis resort with a water park, two golf courses, a splash pad, a game room, and a home theater.

]]>The park opened June 1st and is a 14-acre attraction in California. Fans will get to step inside the setting of their favorite franchise and will be able to enjoy the most immersive Star Wars Experience yet.
Prior to the park’s opening, John Boyega, aka Finn in the recent trilogy, posted a photo of his visit to the park to his Instagram account. He wrote: “Meet the amazing cast of Batuu ready to give the fans all around the world the most immersive Star Wars experience!
“Star Wars #GalaxysEdge opens its doors in one week at @disneyland and don’t you worry i’ll be there to help guide you through one of the most insane rides! It was a pleasure to work with the team on this. Enjoy and may the force be with you.”
If you plan to visit the park, it might be best to wait until the initial buzz dies down as the first visitors will be limited to four hours in the park.
That said, we don’t really have the patience to wait either.
