]]>Located in Hamburg, Germany, the pool at the Der Spiegel’s Hamburg publishing house was designed by Verner Panton in 1969. The whole building follows his wonderful design style. Unfortunately, the fire ruined Panton’s work in the pool area which was later renovated.
Tinside Lido in Plymouth, UK was first opened in 1935. It overlooks the Plymouth Sound and features a beautiful pool that hosts numerous visitors year after year. It was closed from 1992 until 2005 when it reopened after refurbishing.
Leça Da Palmeira is a complex of rock pools near Porto, Portugal. It was one of the first projects of famous architect Álvaro Siza in the ’60s. Today, it’s a place that attracts tourists who want to take a break from exploring Porto and experience this wonderful, unique pool complex.

This is probably the only pool from which you can actually see elephants. Located in the Serengeti National Park, the pool is favorite location not only for elephants, but zebras, giraffe and other great animals.
