After leaving the Serengeti, we drove for hours to Tanzania's Ngorongoro Crater. Along the rim of the crater, Maasai villages like this one dot the landscape. They lead their cows down into the wildlife-filled crater to graze along with all the elephants, zebras, and lions. •••• Did you know that the traditional red Maasai cloaks help protect them against predators? Apparently big cats don’t like the color red.
