]]>Even though you can crop a photo at home, the best photos have well thought out composition. If the scene doesn’t look stunning through your lens, you won’t be able to make it look stunning with the crop tool.
It’s not just you that needs to focus when you’re taking a photo. Using selective focus creatively can help you convey our three-dimensional world in the two-dimensional medium that is photography. For example, by focusing on one flower in the foreground, you can create the depth that is missing from your photo.
No matter how steady you fancy your hand, at least the occasional picture is going to be ruined by blur. You can avoid this by bringing a tripod with you on your travels.
How many times have you mastered a photo’s composition only to be let down by a jarring ray of sunlight? If you want to avoid poor lighting, head out at dusk or dawn. These are the “golden hours” for photography and the lighting will help you take gorgeous photos that aren’t ruined by the fierce midday sun.
A good photo takes planning. If you are snapping an iconic landscape like Niagra Falls, it’s unlikely you are going to be able to capture a photo any different or any better than the thousands already available on the internet. By picking out intimate details and focusing on these, however, you can create a unique image. Homing in on the details can create a story in your picture that will capture your viewers.

]]>Landscape photography is one of my passions. I love capturing the natural layout of a place and putting it out for the world to see.
While I try my best to take good landscape photos, my work comes nothing close to that of Melissa Findley. This Australian landscape photographer travels the world, collecting stunning snapshots of some of the globe’s most beautiful places.
Fortunately, she’s kind enough to share her work with the world at her captivating Instagram account, @melissafindley.
Findley has traveled to some of the most breath-taking places on the planet to shoot photos, and her work does the landscape more than justice. One of her most recent trips took her to the small Australian island of Tasmania, and her pictures of the island’s jagged cliffs absolutely blew me away.
Visiting cities is fun and offers culture and beautiful architecture is nice, but going outdoors is just best sometimes. If you can’t find inspiration with these fantastic photos to travel to a natural paradise, I don’t know what will convince you.
Allow yourself to be captivated and enchanted by Findley’s superior work, and you might find yourself booking that trip to a national park that you’ve always dreamed of.

]]>“I wasn’t serious about photography until a trip to Hawaii in Jan 2017,” he says. “I kinda jokingly set the challenge for myself to take one good photo every day for 365 days in 2017 and that’s how it started. I truly enjoy being able to see such aesthetic beautiful spots and I take advantage of just about every sunset or sunrise I can get to.”

]]>Traveling to big cities is fun and culturally rewarding, sure, but sometimes we just have a need to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature.
Fortunately, even if you can’t drop everything and travel anytime you want, Quin over at @everchanginglandscapes has a feed that will awe you with his stunning shots of colorful natural beauty.
Quin is an adventure photographer based in Southern California in the United States. Many of us don’t immediately think of the US for natural beauty, but the scenes from the 50 states captured through his lens will give you a different perspective of what America has to offer.
Fortunately for us, however, this photographer doesn’t only stick to his own country. He documents his travel throughout the world on a fairly regular basis, offering us shots from many parts of the world.
One of his most stunning recent adventures was to the Asian island nation of the Philippines. Here, he captured some spectacular shots of this tropical land.
For beautiful shots of many lands and all seasons, be sure to give this astounding account a follow.
