]]>There are over 2,000 lakes in Idaho so you won’t have an easy task if you decide to visit just one or two. The largest one is Pend Oreille located in the north region of the state. It’s also the fifth-deepest lake in the US and has a huge variety of fish species living there.
If you enjoy exploring wildlife, Idaho is the place to be. From birds to bears and everything in between, many amazing species are waiting to be discovered there. The Southeast area of the state is home to moose and mule deer, among other wild animals.
When a place has so many wild, uninhabited spaces, it’s not as polluted as cities. It’s also darker at night, which means you can enjoy a view of the starry sky when there are no clouds. Camping is a perfect way to experience this but you can also join guided tours and night hikes.

]]>If you are driving on US Route 95 just outside of the small town of Cottonwood, you will come face to face with a giant beagle. That’s right, a dog is the most interesting landmark in this town of just 900 people.
And lucky enough for you, this beagle is more than just a statue: it’s a fully-functioning bed and breakfast that you can stay in!
The Dog Bark Park Inn contains only one room and gives about as personal of an experience as a dog lover can get. You’ll be staying inside of “Sweet Willy,” a cute beagle that is the home to a queen bed and two twin futon beds, making it perfect for a stay with your partner or your family. The dog-themed decoration of the interior of the bed and breakfast is absolute heaven for canine lovers.
Located conveniently near Hells Canyon of the Snake River National Recreation Area and also halfway between two of the United States’ most famous national parks, Yellowstone and Glacier, nature lovers will find plenty to do nearby.
Be sure to call the property well in advance of the dates you’d like to stay, as demand is high and the B&B’s one room means that availability is limited! If you are lucky enough to stay here, it will certainly be an experience that you’ll never forget.

There will be guaranteed sightings because they eat the local fish called kokanee, so get out your cameras and start snapping pictures!
