Ortigia is an island that is connected to the bigger and more modern city of Syracuse. Ortigia has a rich history and is famous for its narrow, winding streets that are full of atmosphere and liveliness. Ortigia has lots of ancient history, including a Greek Temple, and walking through the streets at night is a great way to soak up some Mediterranean ambience.

Taormina

Taormina is a picturesque town nestled on a hill that overlooks the Ionian Sea. It has an Ancient Greek theater that has a legendary history as well as stunning views of the active volcano, Mount Etna. Burano, Italy 

You’ve all heard about Venice, but not many of you have heard of Burano. Burano’s houses are like a rainbow – each house is in a different color and gives this place amazing charm that won’t leave you indifferent.  

Dinant, Belgium 

This city located near a cliff offers a magnificent view in the Meuse River and is convenient to visit at any time of the year. You can visit Collegiale Notre-Dame, or visit the jazz museum Maison de Monsieur Sax.

Dinant is also the birthplace of the inventor of the saxophone, Adolphe Sax, so you’ll see lot of saxophone sculptures around.

Kylemore Abbey, Ireland 

If you love mysteries and castles, then this is the place to be! Kylemore Castle became a monastery for Benedictine nuns in 1920, even though it was a private home before that.
