Commonly known as the Blue House due to its cobalt-blue walls, Frida Kahlo’s former home now serves as a museum dedicated to her life and work.

Yellow – Convento de San Antonio (Izamal)

Izamal is commonly known as the Yellow City because many of its buildings come in this color, but none of them is more breathtaking than Convento de San Antonio.

Orange – Cuixmala

Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Cancún are usually the first places that come to mind when someone mentions Mexico. Most people never even heard of secluded resort Cuixmala, but once you find out about it—it will be the only thing you can think about.

Cuixmala is a private property located on the Pacific Coast, in the state of Jalisco, situated within the Chamela-Cuixmala Biosphere Reserve. This serene retreat offers fine dining, yoga classes, and horseback riding adventures, but its biggest draw is the lavish Cuixmala hotel.

This orange building is a true sight for sore eyes, and it’s attracted countless architecture lovers, Instagram influencers, and A-list stars over the years. Its bright walls make Cuixmala one of Mexico’s most picturesque spots, but it’s equally impressive once you step inside.

Casa Cuixmala offers four suites, 10 freestanding casitas, six bungalows, and three private villas. It also comes with a private pool area, hotel bar, and restaurant, serving specialties of both Mexican and Western cuisine, made with organic produce grown on the estate’s farm.
