Tuesdays are typically the cheapest day to fly. Why? Well, business travelers tend to leave on their trips on Mondays in order to take advantage of the first day of the week. Fly to a Nearby City

If you are going on a long trip, it might be worth flying to a cheaper city near your destination. For example, if you are traveling to Europe, you may be able to get a flight to somewhere like Venice for very cheap and then easily get the bus to your final destination. This is also a way to see more places.

Fly With Hand Luggage

Often, flights are affordable until you factor in checked luggage. To avoid these extra baggage fees, travel light. If you’re traveling with a friend, one checked suitcase between you along with your hand luggage should suffice.

Book Ahead of Time

If you know when and where you are headed, don’t hesitate. Tickets seldom get cheap over time. And there’s no time like the present.

Buying a return flight or multi-city ticket will usually save you a few bucks down the line. At off-peak times, return flights and single flights are usually fairly similar in price anyway.
