After having lunch at one of many places with great Italian food, it’s time to climb one of two towers known as Le due Torri. Your reward at the top is an amazing panoramic view of the city that will explain why Bologna is often called “La Rossa”—it’s because of its many red rooftops.
Take a break and have a gelato, then head to the Sanctuary of the Madonna San Luca. The beautiful church sits on top of the Colle or Monte della Guardia hill and it’s one of the oldest churches in the region, overlooking the city.
