]]>The city is located on the shore of the famous Constance lake (or as the Germans call it, Bodensee) which is the third biggest lake in central Europe. Once there, you should pay a visit to the famous Altstadt, or ‘the old city’ which is famous for its marvelous classic German architecture and gives the city a real traditional and medieval look.
Here you can enjoy many of the famous landmarks of the city like the Konstanz Cathedral and Munsterplaz, which is the city’s oldest square. If you climb the tower of the cathedral you will get a stunning view of the whole city and the lake. Since its located between Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, you will be able to take a glance at each of the three countries at the same time.
Finally, there are many great restaurants and cafes that you can enjoy while visiting Konstanz. Don’t miss out on its authentic traditional cuisine and of course, the world-famous beer!

]]>Hallstatt is such a beautiful and magical place; we imagine Cinderella spending her winter holiday here – it’s straight out of a fairy tale!
One of the biggest attractions is more than 7,000 years old salt mines.
After you’ve reached your sodium intake for the day you can go skiing, ice-skating, boating, hiking, fishing, or you can visit The Bone House and Cemetery (yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like).
We are not just going to casually mention winter sports here because the village of Hallstatt comes alive in winter. The hilltop of Dachstein Mountain has great downhill runs for Alpine skiing and snowboarding 5,000 feet above the valley below. If you want a more relaxed winter holiday you can enjoy the stunning views from the base of the mountains and the frozen Lake Gosau.
Good wine, smelly cheese, and milk chocolate are everywhere you look in Hallstatt, so be sure that you won’t go hungry even though the village is tiny and there aren’t a lot of supermarkets around.
If you want to have the perfect winter holiday this place is worth every penny.

]]>Often times, however, one of the country’s biggest cities is ignored. I’m talking about Geneva, a Swiss city located right on the border with France in the country’s west.
Geneva deserves your attention, however, as a delightful and peaceful destination that’s worth checking out.
Located in the center of the city of Geneva is its namesake lake. The city is constructed around the lake, which contains a huge water fountain that shoots water to an altitude of 460 feet all day long.
You can even travel in a boat from one side of the lake to another in order to reach Geneva’s Old Town. This quaint method of transportation gives you a beautiful view of the crystal blue waters of the alpine lake.
Geneva is beautifully situated in the foothills of the Alps, and you won’t forget the beautiful views that await you while staying in the city itself. Exploring Geneva’s beautiful old town and visiting places like the beautiful St. Pierre Cathedral gives you access to unforgettable views.
Diplomacy lovers can also do a guided tour of the United Nations, which is headquartered in Geneva and serves as one of the world’s most important governmental organizations.
Geneva is clean, accessible, and beautiful. So, what are you waiting for?
