If you’re looking for even more space to kick back and unwind, this airline offers paid advance seat selection, which you can book for an extra fee before boarding your flight.
Just because you’re on a domestic or short-haul flight doesn’t mean that you’re any less entitled to comfort. Alaska Airlines offers between 32 and 34 inches of legroom in its main cabin, the most of any domestic U.S. airline, while its premium class seats offer an additional four inches of legroom.
The winner of the Skytrax award for the world’s best airline of 2023, Singapore Airlines offers between 32 and 34 inches of legroom for economy-class passengers. By booking this airline’s Forward Zone seats, you’ll receive extra legroom and be among the first passengers to disembark the plane.

]]>Waking up early in the morning is difficult, but the saying, “the early bird catches the worm” couldn’t hold more true when it comes to flights. Early morning flights are usually cheaper because people don’t like getting up and traveling early. There’s also a better chance of empty seats because many people don’t show up for the flights due to oversleeping. Also, the first flight of the day is more likely to leave on time, setting the pace for the rest of the flights.
If you have some flexibility on your arrival time, book flights that are more likely to be oversold like those departing on Friday or Saturday between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. These flights are in high demand so airlines oversell them in the hopes of making money for seats that don’t exist. They take the risk of people misconnecting or not showing up, but they’re obligated to pay high fees and compensation if they don’t have a seat for you.
Airline miles don’t have to be used for a free round-trip ticket—you can use them for a 50 percent discount on a round-trip reservation. This way you’ll earn miles on the ticket you don’t use your miles on, putting miles into your account for the next time you pay out of pocket for a flight.

]]>Studies have shown that the cheapest months are January and February. In March prices tend to go up, and by April flights can go up by almost 50% of what they were the month before.
Ironically enough, mid-January to the end of February are the cheapest months to travel as well, as this is known as the “dead zone”, the time after Christmas and New Years but before spring. In the fall, mid-September to October are the cheapest months, although slightly behind January and February.
To sum it up, if you have a flexible schedule and are willing to fly on odd months then your chances to find a cheap ticket go up. If you are booking an international flight for the summer then book it before April for the best price!
