]]>Travel blogger Lena Boston recently shared a video on her Instagram in which she showcased several tips that can make anyone’s beach trip more comfortable.
Her first tip is to tuck the ends of your towel into the sand and then fold them to create small pouches. This will prevent the wind from displacing your towel when you take a dip in the ocean.
Next, she takes a bandage and uses it to cover the bottom of her phone. By doing this, she prevents small particles of sand and moisture from getting into the charging port or small speakerphone holes.
Boston also showcased how you can easily remove the sand that sticks to your skin. She uses a duster to brush off sand and fills a plastic bag with water to wash her feet before putting on her slippers.
There was also one tip that Boston swears by, but internet users are divided about. She took her valuables and placed them into a Ziploc bag before burying it in the sand and covering the place with a towel.
Our take is to proceed carefully with this one. While burying your valuables will make it harder for them to be stolen, you also might easily forget where you placed them, especially if your towel gets moved by accident.

]]>French dip sandwiches originated in Los Angeles in the early 20th century. In its most basic version, the sandwich consists of roasted beef served on a French roll, which is then dipped into the beef juice left from the roasting process. You can find French dip sandwiches on almost any street in LA. But if you want to get the best one, visit the following spots.
Philippe the Original is considered the birthplace of French dip sandwiches, so it isn’t a surprise that this establishment makes them the best. Besides the original roasted beef version, they also have roast pork and lamb variety, while cheese can be added upon request. The sandwich is served “wet,” meaning it is dipped into the beef juice before being handed out to the customer.
This might be a controversial entry, but the people swear that Houston’s/Hillstone restaurant chain has some of the best, if not the best, French dip sandwich in the country. Their beef is roasted to perfection and nestled into an in-house French roll with a brush of mayonnaise. The dip, served in a ramekin, is not overpowering but packs a great amount of flavor.
Cole’s also takes credit for the invention of the French dip sandwich, albeit with less success than Philippe the Original. But one thing is for sure, they are one of the best in making it. The place also offers different types of meats for French dip and serves it dry with beef juice on the side and accompanied by pickles and homemade mustard.

]]>The post Best Ways to Explore Dubai, UAE on a Budget appeared first on Traveler Master.
]]>The best time to visit Dubai is during winter, as the temperatures significantly drop compared to the scorching heat of the summer. However, this is also when budget traveling becomes challenging due to high demand. Instead, visit during the off-season, when the temperatures are higher but prices of flight tickets and accommodation get slashed. Additionally, many of the shopping malls and restaurants offer discounts during this time.
You should definitely visit some of the famous shopping malls in Dubai as they are an attraction for themselves. However, don’t spend your money there as you will be expected to pay a premium. Instead, do your shopping at souks in the old part of the city. Here you’ll find great goods and souvenirs at affordable prices, especially if you bargain a bit.
Dubai is far from walkable and you will need to use transportation to get from one place to another in most cases. Make sure to use the metro for this as much as you can. It is the cheapest, most convenient, and most reliable form of transportation. Consider getting a Nol Card, which can give you an even better deal on metro fares while providing discounts on other services.
Dubai is a city with some of the best restaurants in the world, but resist the urge to visit them if you want to save money. The same goes for popular fast-food chains like McDonald’s. Instead, opt to eat local food that is just as tasty and costs a fraction of the price. You’ll find great eateries that offer cheap food in Satwa and Deira districts.

]]>Most travelers agree that the only situation in which it is acceptable to ask someone to switch seats is if you are a parent who couldn’t get a seat alongside their young child any other way. In all other circumstances, asking someone to switch seats is considered a big no-no.
However, this usually doesn’t stop people from trying and relying on the sympathy of a stranger to score a better seat or get seated alongside their family, friends, or partner. If you ever find yourself in this kind of situation and don’t want to give up your seat, consider reacting like this.
People usually believe that there is no harm in asking. You should also take the same approach and see no harm in declining. Politely decline the request and say that you are not interested in moving. Whether you offer any reasons for your decision is completely up to you.
If the stranger continues to try and pressure you into switching the seat, simply get comfortable and stop giving them attention. They should quickly get the memo and give up.
In case nothing else works and you get tired of saying no, simply inform the flight attendant. Tell them about the issue you are having and they will take it from there.
