With its short but bright summer and its magical winter, Finland is known for being a modern welfare state with tons of beautiful views. The country offers tourists great hotels, and one of the best ones is Levi, a resort in Finnish Lapland and a dream destination for skiing.

It is the largest ski resort in Finland and is known for its ski slopes and views of the Northern lights. It has 43 ski slopes on which the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup circuit was hosted. Levi is known as a round-the-year activity resort and offers much more than skiing. You can have a tasty cooking workshop, a reindeer sleigh ride, walking tours, ice fishing trip, snow cinema and even a night safari.

Rome, known as the City of Love, is the perfect destination for a romantic couples trip. Together with the Italian romance, the romantic restaurants, the architecture and the history, Rome should be your next destination, if not already done, with your partner.

The best thing to do in Rome is just get lost. Wander through the streets, walk around, discover, visit. Rome is full of historic monuments and you can find one at each corner of the street.

The Colosseum, the Forum, the Trevi Fountain, the Santa Maria Del Puopolo Church, the Jewish Synagogue (and the quarter) and the different museums are the must-do things in Rome. Take a map and discover all Rome. Rome has also great shopping!

Besides visiting and exploring, you should try and eat at different restaurants all the time. Have a good dish of pasta or pizza accompanied by a glass of wine and a Tiramisu for dessert? Didn’t I just make you drool?

It’s Winter and all you we can think of is how much we want to visit someplace warm. That is why we created a list of the cheapest places to visit this winter. Experts are predicting that the airfares and hotel prices will strongly increase in 2018, but you will see that it will still be possible to travel to amazing places with a small budget.

Zanzibar

People think Zanzibar is an expensive destination, but you will be surprised by the affordable prices. Right, there are some very luxurious resorts, but you can easily travel there with a lower budget and spend a lovely holiday.

Sri Lanka

Paradise for surfers! But is also more than this. Sri Lanka offers big experiences, great food, hikes and more. You could do all of this with a tight wallet.

Phuket, Thailand

Thailand is one of the most famous cheap destinations. Affordable hotels, amazing food, beautiful beaches. Could it get any better?

The Caribbean

While the terrible 2017 hurricane impacted just a part of the Caribbean, it did damage some of the most popular spots. You could however still enjoy the beautiful beaches, stay at a resort for a normal price and enjoy their food, cocktails, and attractions.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Most people haven’t found out yet, but Kuala Lumpur is a real treasure!

Karpathos, Greece

The Greek Island Karpathos is chic as Santorini and Mykonos but with the advantage of lower prices. You could visit the ancient ruins, enjoy the white-sand beaches, go fishing, diving, snorkeling and windsurfing.

Barichara, Columbia

Columbia is usually not seen as a value destination, but travelers are showing something else.

Portugal is much more than just Lisbon and Porto. Have you ever heard about Sintra?

Sintra is a typical Portuguese town and a fascinating destination that offers you a variety of historic monuments, castles and famous palaces. The town is known for its romantic style and architecture. Located near the capital of Portugal, Lisbon, Sintra can be visited in a one or two-days tour. One day will allow you to see the main touristic attractions, while two days will allow you to see Sintra on its all, and this is totally worth it!

https://www.instagram.com/p/BedsuYxljPE/?tagged=penapalace

The highlight of Sintra is the Palacio Da Pena. From outside, one can see different designs, styles and influences, but the interior is totally worth a visit as well. It has been restored to how it has looked in 1910 and has different hidden pathways and great view points.

Castelo Dos Mouros is another must-visit. It is a idyllic ruined castle that is surrounded by the forest that has overgrown the ancient walls. The castle is located high above Sintra with panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and the region of Sintra. Worth the visit for beautiful pictures and healthy fresh air.

Not so far driving from Sintra, Cabo Da Roca, is totally worth a stop. It is the most westerly point of Europe, with massive cliffs and a powerful sea.

There is so much more to visit in Sintra and its surroundings. You should take these places into consideration when traveling to beautiful Portugal.

Singapore, known as the world’s busiest port, is also one of the wealthiest and certainly cleanest countries in Asia. Alongside its incredible shopping and the beautiful gardens, Singapore is the perfect destination for those who appreciate luxury. This is emphasized by the 5-star hotel, Marina Bay Sands.

Opened in 2010 and designed by the well-known architect, Moshe Safdie, Marina Bay Sands, is today one of the main reasons why tourists are visiting Singapore. The hotel has 2561 rooms, all facing on one side, the Botanic Gardens and on the other side, the picturesque port, lighted at night.

The hotel has three towers that are connected by one roof terrace, the Sands SkyPark. This is the famous Infinity Swimming Pool. Don’t tell me wrong, we all know someone who has a picture taken inside that pool, posing in front of that breathtaking view.

Marina Bay Sands is not only a hotel, but it is a whole city on its own. You could spend easily a few good days in there, not doing twice the same thing. Besides the Infinity Pool, the hotel has many other attractions including the world’s most expensive Casino, a big Shopping Mall, the Sands Expo, the Marina Bay Club and more.

For the food-lovers, you can also find incredible restaurants in the hotel itself, such as CUT, Sky on 57, Ce La Vie, Bread Street Kitchen and DB Bistro Moderne.

Let’s be honest. Isn’t Singapore now on your next-destinations list?
