Wizz Air is one of the world’s leading low-cost airlines, and they introduced several membership programs that can save you extra money. “All You Can Fly” pass is one of them, and they presented it as a great money saver when it was introduced earlier this year, but here are a few things worth considering if you’re thinking of giving it a shot.

What’s “All You Can Fly”?

“All You Can Fly” is Wizz Air’s 12-month membership program that allows you to book flights across their international network for the flat rate of 599 euros a year. If you fly a lot, this may seem like a bargain, but there are several hiccups involved worth considering before you buy this pass.

Additional Fees

If you think you’ll pay 599 euros a year and fly wherever and whenever you want, think again. In addition to this flat rate, you’ll have to pay an additional 9.99 euros for each flight you book, which won’t always pay off because Wizz Air flights tend to be pretty cheap even when you’re booking them without any discounts.

Last-Minute Planning

The biggest problem with the “All You Can Fly” pass is that you can only book flights between 3 days (72 hours) and 3 hours before departure if there are seats available. This is a huge issue because you’ll have to plan your trips last minute, and it’s possible you won’t even be able to find free seats on your return flight, especially during peak season.

Eastern Europe is a part of the world that is gaining more and more interest as visitors begin to realize all of the marvels that this underrated part of the continent holds. One of the small nuisances that can make travel to this region difficult is the perceived lack of air service on budget airlines to the region’s cities.

However, don’t lose hope! Here are some budget airlines that you should check out if you are looking to plan a trip to Eastern Europe.

Wizz Air

Wizz Air, a Hungary-based company, is arguably the biggest player in budget flights in Eastern Europe. Servicing Hungary, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Poland, the Balkans, and the Baltic States with flights from the rest of the continent, Wizz Air is a great choice.

Smartwings

Smartwings is a Prague-based airline that is expanding rapidly and beginning to service lots of Eastern Europe. It has especially good routes to the Balkan states, servicing Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria, Albania, and Montenegro.

SkyUp

SkyUp has only been around since March 2018, but this Ukranian airline is starting to make its mark on the air travel industry. It provides comprehensive service to Ukraine and even flies to unique destinations like Georgia and Armenia.

Ryanair

While Ryanair is an Irish company, I would be remiss to not mention the budget air giant here. While it originally focused on Western Europe, Ryanair now comprehensively services Eastern Europe as well, providing plentiful connections between the region and the rest of the continent.

With the advent of low-cost carriers over the past couple of decades in Europe, it’s become easier and easier to buy flights that will get you around the continent for less.

It might seem daunting to comb through all of the low-cost options for flights in Europe, but fear not! Here are the best companies and options for cheap plane tickets that will have you going from Barcelona to Budapest in no time.

Ryanair

If there is one name that is synonymous with low-cost travel, it’s Ryanair. While this Irish company might not offer up the most comfortable planes or the best service, it’s undeniable that you can fly for absurdly low prices to and from almost any country in Europe with these guys.

EasyJet

The British king of low-cost air flies to 156 different destinations across the continent. If you’re looking to get from London to other points on the continent, there’s no better option. Its services are expanding rapidly to give thorough coverage to almost all European countries.

Wizz Air

Ever heard of Wizz Air before? If you haven’t, don’t worry, because you aren’t the only one. This Hungarian company focuses on getting customers to Central and Eastern Europe for low prices, taking people to fantastic destinations like Budapest and Krakow for less.

Transavia

Another rapidly-growing company is Transavia, which is a subsidiary of Dutch flagship carrier KLM. You can fly all over Europe, but especially to France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, for cheap with this company.
