Kawachi Wisteria Garden, also known as Wisteria Tunnel, is a beautiful site to check out in Kitakyushu, Japan. The garden is full of purple wisteria and looks absolutely incredible when the flowers are blooming. The flowers are arranged in vines and spread everywhere, so entering the garden makes you feel like you’re in a fairytale.

The garden contains around 150 flowering plants that together make a breathtaking tunnel. Needless to say, the place is perfect for taking photos and the best time to visit is in late April and early May when the wisteria plants are in full bloom. Regardless of the period you visit, check out the weather in advance to avoid unpleasant surprises!

During that time, you can expect the place to be pretty crowded with visitors, but there’s an option to book a slot for visiting the gardens in advance if you want to plan ahead. Have you visited something similar before? We’re sure that visiting the Wisteria Tunnel is a unique and beautiful experience, no matter where you come from.
