Stockholm’s Ostermalm district has recently emerged as a vibrant stretched paced with exciting dining options, eclectic shops, and the most anticipated hotels. Be sure to add these places to your must-see list, pronto!

Where to Shop

While the city remains synonymous with minimalists, it offers a clean-lined design. The Modern boutique has a rare mix of vintage and French décor ranging from bright-blue champagne glasses to a copper lamp.

Where to Stay

While in Stockholm you can stay at Villa Dagmar, which is a 70-room hotel. It is the first sibling property of the ultra-luxe Hotel Diplomat. Its refined properties are evident in the brightly, light-filled interiors, jewel-toned velvet armchairs, and antique wallpapers. Other draws include a traditional Nordic spa with a Swedish sauna, a flower shop, and direct access via passageway to the Ostermalm Saluhall.

Where to Eat

Anchoring Stockholm’s Nybrogatan Avenue is a beautifully restored food hall. Inside this food hall, you’ll find merchants, including Lisa Elmqvist, a fishmonger to the royal family, and artisanal cheese maker Arla Unika. You can enjoy your lunch at the Bageri Ingrid bakery that snakes down the block. You can get a steamy cup of split-pea soup, thick squares of fudgy apple cakes, and warm vanilla-and-cardamom burns. All these are served through a takeout window.
