]]> Paris is the first place that comes to mind when someone mentions the Louvre, but it’s not the only city in the world with a museum that has this name. Abu Dhabi is home to its own Louvre Museum, but they’re two entirely separate museums with their own vision and identity.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi may not be as iconic as the original, but it’s an important cultural institution in this corner of the world. It’s the largest art museum in the Arabian peninsula, and its main mission is to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western art by showcasing art from all around the world.

This impressive museum covers 24,000 square meters with 35,000 works of art on its premises. The building itself was designed by the famed architect Jean Nouvel before opening its doors to visitors in 2017. The museum is instantly recognizable thanks to its huge, silvery dome composed of 7,850 stars, which appears to be floating above the rest of the museum city.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is easily accessible because it’s the main attraction of the Saadiyat Island Cultural District. It’s open to visitors between 10 am and 6:30 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, and you should make sure to book the tickets in advance and set aside at least two hours for exploration.

Coffee Museum Dubai

This ‘shrine’ to all things coffee is located in a villa in the Al Fahidi neighborhood and has an impressive collection of coffee-related artifacts, including a 300-year-old coffeepot. Entry is free, and the many roasting demonstrations give the whole museum a lovely aroma.

Ride an Abra

Okay, technically a ride in an abra isn’t free, but it costs 1 UAE dirham, which is as good as. Hop into one of the wooden boats on either side of the Dubai Creek and take in the view of the old and new Dubai.

Check Out the Art at AlSerkal Avenue

AlSerkal Avenue is full of warehouse spaces offering a range of entry-free galleries. You can wander around the pop-up shops and concept spaces, and of course, stop for a drink in one of the cute cafes. 

See the Flamingos at Ras Al Khor

At the Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, you can pick up a pair of binoculars and take a closer look at the hundreds of pink flamingos that live in the water near the junction of Ras Al Khor Road and the Dubai-Al Ain highway.

]]> We’re completely blown away by this gorgeous garden in Dubai called the Miracle Garden. It’s actually the largest natural flower garden on the planet and it has been there since February 14th, 2013.

The Dubai Miracle garden spreads on 780,000 square feet and is made up of various colorful flowers, bright umbrellas, and floral sculptures. It has won two Guinness awards: in 2013, for being the largest vertical garden, and in 2016, for having the biggest floral sculpture.

More than 1.5 million guests visit this amazing garden every year. It’s not the first thing you think of when talking about Dubai, but it should definitely be on everyone’s itinerary!

This ski park is situated within the complex of the Mall of the Emirates, which is one of the biggest and most grandiose shopping centers on the planet.

Ski Dubai is located completely indoors and with the help of some serious air conditioning, maintains a temperature around 0 degrees Celsius all year.

An 85-meter high indoor slope has been built inside of Ski Dubai to simulate the conditions of skiing in the mountains outdoors.

In addition, Ski Dubai is also the habitat of several penguins that have been taken there to live! On various occasions throughout the day, the cute animals are let out of their enclosures to mingle with the skiers.

Парк «Ferrari World», принимающий посетителей с осени 2010 года, – самый большой на Земле тематический парк, располагающийся в здании. По площади он занимает 200 000 м², а купол постройки поднимается в высоту на 45 м. Основу парка строители заложили в 2007 году вместе с «капсулой времени». Это детали с чемпионата Феррари, который проходил в том году, когда началось строительство. Кстати, «капсулу» собираются открыть в 2047 году во время 100-летнего юбилея Ferrari. Официальное открытие парка состоялось в 2010 году. Обзор парка: Экскурсия по Миру Феррари – придется по душе как детям, так и взрослым. На его территории располагается более 20 аттракционов. Есть много ресторанов и кафе, палаток с напитками и едой. Для маленьких посетителей есть игровая площадка и детская гоночная школа вождения. В Торговом центре посетители могут приобрести фирменную одежду, аксессуары и сувенирную продукцию. Мир Феррари приглашает автолюбителей в музей Ferrari. Здесь собрана коллекция раритетных машин с 1947 года. Есть и новые, модернизированные модели. Есть познавательные выставочные стенды, тур по заводу Феррари. Интересные факты, особенности: Архитекторы подсчитали количество израсходованной стали для парка. Они выяснили, что этого количества могло хватить на возведения эйфелевой башни и осталось бы ещё на строительство паркинга, ресторана и торгового центра. Площадь парка около 86 000 м2, что приравнивается к 7-8 полям для игры в футбол. На крыше парка закреплен логотип Феррари площадью 3000 м2. Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi 

This is another indoor park that will wake up the child in you. Spend your time with your childhood heroes from Looney Tunes and DC comics in one of the six designated areas (Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Gotham City, Warner Bros Plaza and Dynamite Gulch).

]]> We’re completely blown away by this gorgeous garden in Dubai called the Miracle Garden. It’s actually the largest natural flower garden on the planet and it has been there since February 14th, 2013.

The Dubai Miracle garden spreads on 780,000 square feet and is made up of various colorful flowers, bright umbrellas, and floral sculptures. It has won two Guinness awards: in 2013, for being the largest vertical garden, and in 2016, for having the biggest floral sculpture.

More than 1.5 million guests visit this amazing garden every year. It’s not the first thing you think of when talking about Dubai, but it should definitely be on everyone’s itinerary!

The capital of the United Arab Emirates records scorching temperatures all year round, but due to the magic of modern innovation and technology, an indoor ski resort called Ski Dubai has been constructed in the most unlikely of places.

This ski park is situated within the complex of the Mall of the Emirates, which is one of the biggest and most grandiose shopping centers on the planet.

Ski Dubai is located completely indoors and with the help of some serious air conditioning, maintains a temperature around 0 degrees Celsius all year.

An 85-meter high indoor slope has been built inside of Ski Dubai to simulate the conditions of skiing in the mountains outdoors.

It includes five different ski runs of varying difficulties, so that all skiers, from novices to the most experienced slope riders, are able to enjoy their experience.

In addition, Ski Dubai is also the habitat of several penguins that have been taken there to live! On various occasions throughout the day, the cute animals are let out of their enclosures to mingle with the skiers.
