]]>In a recent trending video shared on TikTok, travel content creator Monae shared one simple tip that can allow you to travel the world on a budget.
In the clip, Monae said that she believes 2025 will be “the cheapest year to travel” and shared a series of cheap flights that will get you from the U.S. to a range of international locations for under $200. This includes Tokyo, Japan, London, UK, and Mexico City, Mexico, with the latter being available for just $81.
Monae then revealed the secret trick that helped her travel full-time for three years and save thousands of dollars.
“One of the best ways to travel on a budget is to let the price of the flight determine where you’re going to go,” she says in the video. “I full time traveled for three years and doing this I not only went places that I would usually never go and get to experience. It literally saved me thousands of dollars.”
So, there you go. If you want to travel and see the world but don’t have a huge budget, let the flight prices determine your next destination. Your bank account will thank you and you will get to see some amazing places and have thrilling experiences.

]]>Dubbed “check-in chicken,” the hack looks to exploit the automatic seat assignment used by airlines. According to TikTok user @cheapholidayexpert, who demonstrated the hack in a recent viral video, the idea is to wait as much as possible before checking in for your flight.
Airlines always look to fill out the “bad” seats, including those in the back and middle of the plane, when automatically assigning seats to passengers. But once there are no more of these seats left, they have to start assigning better seats.
The hack worked perfectly for @cheapholidayexpert, who managed to score extra legroom seats with no extra charge by waiting to check in 5.5 hours before the flight.
While it is definitely worth trying out this hack, we have to warn you that it comes with its fair share of risks. First of all, the hack will only work with flights that are properly packed. Otherwise, if there is any seat in the back or middle of the plane left, you will get it.
On top of that, there is a risk that all the seats will vanish if you wait for too long. The airlines frequently overbook flights, hoping not all passengers will show up. If they do, those who don’t check in on time will miss out and have to take another flight.
