Situated in an old church, the Coolidge Corner Theatre has been operating as a theatre since 1933. It also shows independent and older movies and has several smaller screening rooms in addition to its larger screen. Some of its rooms even have armchairs for a more comfortable, cozy experience!
In Somerville’s bustling Davis Square is the over-100-year-old Somerville Theatre. This theatre hosted vaudeville and other live acts in its heyday, and now has several screens including a rentable one where it shows indie and art house cinema. It also continues to host live shows and concerts.
