Nowadays, you can travel the world by not having to sleep at airports and wait for your next connecting flight. Long flights are great, however, they can be very tiring and stressful. These few tips will help you to survive the 12+ hour plane ride.

Rest Before Your Flight

It is always easier to enjoy your travel when you are well rested. When tired, people can get anxious, nervous and grumpy. Have your 8-hour beauty sleep if you want a smooth flight.

Get Comfy

When on the plane, get everything you will need and store your baggage into the overload compartment; make room for your legs. Wear comfortable, breathable clothes and always wear layers. In the air, the legs tend to swell, so make yourself comfy and take your shoes off, as well.

Move Around

Stand up, have a walk or do exercises while sitting, whichever you prefer, as long as you pump blood into your muscles.

Eat Right

Before your flight eat healthy and light. Spicy or heavy food is a big no-no before flying, it can make you nauseous. Always drink lots of water to stay hydrated and avoid getting a headache. You can bring your own reusable water bottle and ask the flying attendants to refill it.
