]]> When was the last time you had a long layover at the airport? It is never fun to have to wait for hours between flights, and if you do so in the middle of a long, arduous journey, sometimes there is nothing you want to do more than just sleep.

Fortunately, there is a new trend which is beginning to sweep through airports all over the world: sleep pods!

While it is impractical to put hotel rooms inside most airport terminals and doesn’t make sense for customers to rent rooms for layovers during the day that last several hours, sleep pods can fill a crucial need for those who want to rest during a reduced period of time.

Airports around the world have begun to see companies install sleep pods, which are essentially a special “capsule” in which travelers are afforded privacy, darkness, and a place to rest.

Usually available for rental by the hour, some time in a sleep pod can be a very worthwhile investment if you need to take a nap and catch up on a bit or energy while waiting for your next flight.

You’ll be surprised at how comfortable they are and how easy they are to use despite how strange they appear at first glance!
