The Spanish surrealist Salvador Dalí went down in history as one of the most iconic artists of his time. His paintings, sculptures, and other works are now scattered all around the world, but these three museums are the best places to see them in real life.

Dalí Theatre and Museum (Figueres, Spain)

Located in Dalí’s hometown of Figueres, this museum is as quirky and eccentric as the artist himself. Dalí designed it inside a 19th-century theatre, and the museum now houses the largest collection of his work, ranging from drawings and paintings to holographic art and optical illusions.

Salvador Dalí Museum (St. Petersburg, Florida)

Located in an imposing modern building consisting of 900 glass panels, this museum is home to an impressive collection of Dalí’s biggest masterpieces. The Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory and The Hallucinogenic Toreador are some of the most iconic works it has in store, but its collection includes hundreds of other artifacts, including oil paintings, drawings, and sculptures.

Dalí Universe (Paris, France)

Dalí Universe mostly consists of the sculptures created by the iconic Spanish artist, and it’s a little bit more difficult to visit than the previous two museums. It originally opened in London, before relocating to Espace Dalí in Paris, while parts of the collection are often exhibited at international locations.
