Most people go on day trips or join hiking tours when trying to explore nature, but there’s one place in each city that allows you to do the same—the botanical garden. Canada is home to quite a few, and here’s a couple everyone should visit in this country.

Royal Botanical Gardens

Canada’s largest botanical garden in Burlington, Ontario, and one of the largest in the world, covers 2,400 acres, with approximately 40,000 plants on display. There are five separate areas you can explore during your visit, and you can discover several endangered species of plants, including red mulberry.

Toronto Botanical Garden

A visit to the botanical garden is quite an adventure since there’s something for pretty much everyone on its grounds. Space is divided into 17 themed gardens that cover four acres, but there are also a seasonal café, garden shop, and many events you can enjoy during your visit.

Montreal Botanical Garden

One of the most Instagram-friendly botanical gardens in the world is home to beautiful plant sculptures, themed greenhouses, and a Chinese lantern garden, but its extensive collection of native and exotic flora is equally impressive.
