Rideau Hall

Also known as Government House, Rideau Hall serves as the official residence of the Canadian monarch and the governor-general. The building itself has been around the 19th century, and it’s been built in a Regency style, with beautifully landscaped grounds on its premises.

Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica

Located near the National Gallery of Canada, this is one of Ottawa’s most recognizable religious buildings. It’s been around since the 19th century, and you can easily spot it from a distance thanks to its skyline-dominating spires. Its colorful interior decorated with stained-glass windows is also worth exploring.
