We can all agree that traveling and exploring new places is amazing, but sometimes you just need to take a break from the world and enjoy a few days at home.

Staycation, a vacation you spend at home, can be an amazing vacation option whether you’re a traveler or not, and here are three reasons why we think that.

It’s Easy

You will avoid all the hassle that comes with booking the hotel, tickets, packing, planning the itinerary, etc. All you have to do on a staycation is to relax and enjoy your free time to the max.

It’s Cheap

We love traveling, but the costs of it add up so quickly, especially for overseas trips! You can take just a part of your vacation budget and use it towards the most amazing staycation ever. Try new restaurants in your city, go to clubs and on tours, and it will still be so much cheaper because you don’t have to pay for the trip or the accommodation.

It’s Whatever You Want It To Be

The great thing about a staycation is that you can turn it into whatever you want. If your idea of spending the vacation includes Netflix, books, and a comfy bed, that’s great! If you want to see your city from a new perspective, we’re sure there are plenty of things you can do to rediscover it.

Traveling is an activity we mostly perceive as positive, given that it’s something interesting we do in our spare time. However, traveling can be stressful, too, especially if the thought of flying gives you chills. Here are three tips to help you relax while traveling.

Routines

The more you travel, the more time you will have to develop certain routines that will help you avoid anxiety. You can do things like getting to the airport on time, taking a sweet snack with you, and making sure you have your favorite source of entertainment on you, whether it’s a book or your laptop.

Distractions

Speaking of entertainment, we recommend you pack at least a few things to keep you busy during the flight. A book and a favorite TV show downloaded on your laptop are a minimum. You can also browse magazines or catch up with the newsletters on your email – just make sure nothing requires wi-fi in order to use it.

Как провести полёт комфортно ✈ ⠀ Comfortable flight is a well-chosen airline. This is the sixth time I've been flying with @airbaltic. Today we are on our way to London 🇬🇧 ⠀ За это год у меня было 55+ перелетов и бесконечное количество часов в воздухе, поэтому я точно знаю, какие советы дать путешественникам 😉 Сохраняй следующий список: ⠀ 👟Выбирайте самую удобную одежду в полёт. Я всегда летаю в спортивных костюмах и кроссовках. Но для этого фото сменила образ на полчаса 😄💦 Во время полёта мы теряем больше жидкости, чем на земле. Медики рекомендуют пить 0,25л воды в час. При этом советую отказаться от большого количества кофе и алкоголя (сама этим иногда грешу 😬). ⠀ 👍🏼Возьмите в самолёт дорожную подушку для головы и шеи, под поясницу скрутите и положите шарф или плед, чтобы избежать неприятных ощущений в спине после долгого сидения на одном месте. ⠀ 😴Не забудьте про маску для сна, так как свет в самолёте не всегда выключают даже на дальних рейсах. ⠀ 🏃🏼‍♀️Возьмите за правило ходить по салону хотя бы в час и делать зарядку. Я обычно делаю простую разминку в проходе или у туалета, где больше места. ⠀ 🍴Прихватите с собой полезный перекус. В моем рюкзаке всегда лежит банан или яблоко, и все чаще я беру с собой полноценный обед из дома: овощи с рыбой и гречкой. ⠀ Ну и, конечно, комфортный полёт – это ещё и грамотно выбранная авиакомпания. Вот уже шестой раз я летаю с @airbaltic.
