It was built during the French colonial period and it went on to become one of the city’s most photographed attractions since opening its doors in 1876.
The pink church of Ho Chi Minh perfectly blends neo-Romanesque, neo-Gothic, and neo-Renaissance elements, but it didn’t always look the way it does today. Its exterior and interior were actually painted pink in 1957, and this renovation transformed it into one of the city’s most Instagram-friendly spots.
The vivid pink color of its façade is highlighted by its white patterns, and the church features several smaller towers in addition to its main clock tower. You will be equally impressed by it if you decide to step inside because it’s decorated with Italian marble altars and features walls painted in strawberry and cream hue, reminiscent of its exterior.
