]]>Founded in 2009 by AJ Pappalardo, this pizzeria is as authentic as it gets. Papplardo decided to take the old pizza recipes that his family used at their restaurant in Staten Island and share them in the bustling borough of Manhattan. This pizzeria’s specialty is New York-style slices.
Offering traditional Neopolitan pies, Paulie Gee’s Slice Shop is an ideal place to stop by for a quick slice or sit down and relax while digging into some scrumptious pizza. ]]>What makes Scarr’s one of the best pizzerias in the city is that they use old-school techniques for making and designing the pizza but with the modern-day in mind. For example, all their ingredients are super high quality and local whenever possible, which means that their pies just taste better than other places. Located in the Lower East Side neighborhood of Manhattan, you’ll never be disappointed at Scarr’s.
2 Bros can be found all over the city, from the East Village all the way up to Harlem. This small chain is famous because of their dollar slices, which might scare off some people, but it shouldn’t. Just because it’s not the highest quality pizza doesn’t mean it can’t taste incredible, and 2 Bros Pizza really does. So if you want a real New York experience but only have a buck, go for 2 Bros.
If you’re ever up in Harlem and you’re looking for a slice, Pasty’s is the place to go. Not only are their slices on $1.75, but they are super delicious and good quality.
