With a diverse natural landscape and plenty of beaches, mountains, and even volcanoes, Italy certainly is a sight to behold. Hence, it proves to be the perfect place to visit if beautiful nature and architecture are on your agenda. Here are some of the beautiful must-visit places in Italy that you should see during your next trip.

Burano

Tucked away in the wondrous, floating city of Venice, Burano is a vibrant island filled with candy-colored houses. What’s more, it’s a stone’s throw from Mazzorbo, where you’ll see grapes and artichokes growing in charming vineyards.

Villa Romana del Casale

On the southern island of Sicily, you’ll be able to visit the Villa Romana del Casale, filled with well-preserved mosaics dating back to the 4th century. What’s intriguing is that these mosaics are a rare occurrence from that age of females playing sports.

Riviera del Conero

On the eastern shore of Italy is this breathtaking coastline, running alongside the crystal blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. It’s also home to the Conero National Park, filled with nature trails and cliffs.

Right by the Atlantic Ocean, lies a geology marvel: Giant’s Causeway. This mesmerizing Northern Irish site has been a source of wonder for centuries.

As Northern Ireland’s sole UNESCO World Heritage site, Giant’s Causeway proudly displays over 40,000 basalt columns, a geological masterpiece formed around 60 million years ago.

The columns, some reaching 12 meters in height, create a pathway leading from the cliff foot and disappearing beneath the sea. Predominantly hexagonal, they are a testament to a significant stage in the Earth’s evolution.

Drawing nearly 1 million visitors in 2019, this unique marvel is by far one of Northern Ireland’s most beloved tourist attractions.

The Legend

Irish legend has it that the columns are remnants of a causeway constructed by the Gaelic mythology giant Fionn mac Cumhaill. According to the story, Fionn was challenged by the Scottish giant Benandonner and built the causeway so they could both meet for the duel.

Getting By at Giant’s Causeway

If you’re a solo-type, you can take your time to explore the fabulous landscape of Giant’s Causeway for free, strolling across a network of four walking trails spanning the 5km site.

If you’re into a premium experience, consider getting a Visitor Experience ticket including guided tours, audio guides in 11 languages, and access to the shop, cafe, and exhibition.

2020 The Kupala Memorial Reserve Levki (a branch of the Yanka Kupala Museum) was set up near #levki #village in 1978. So you’ve marveled at Rome, partied in Amsterdam, and romanced in Paris. It’s a good start, but Europe has so much more to offer. Here is our exclusive guide to taking a unique budget trip in Europe. Three countries, six days, and breathtaking water-themed sites.

Day 1-2: Venice, Italy

Begin the journey in Venice. It is usually cheap to fly to and it’s a magical place to start. Stay just outside the city to save money and take the bus in the morning. There are no cars in Venice, so you will enjoy the beautiful city on foot or by boat. The winding rivers and stunning architecture make for mesmerizing photos. You only need a couple of days in Venice to truly soak up the city and sample the local cuisine.

Day 2-4: Ljubljana, Slovenia

Next, take the bus to the capital of Slovenia. Flixbus have tickets starting from as little as $10. The city has a unique charm and its history is certainly interesting. The real highlight of this segment of your trip, however, is a visit to Lake Bled. You can quite easily get the bus there from the city. The lake is crystal clear and the reflection of the sunset in the water in the early evening is something special. The fairy-tale castle floating in the middle of the lake is what truly makes Lake Bled a hidden gem.

Day 5-6: Zagreb, Croatia

For your last stop, take another Flixbus heading to Zagreb. This will also take just a few short hours and should not cost you much more than $10. Zagreb is a thriving capital with plenty of quirky museums and fascinating art. Of course, the highlight this time will be taking a bus outside of the city to the Plitvice Lakes. The water is turquoise in color and the surrounding landscapes are unlike anything you will see in Western Europe.

Once you have finished up your adventure, you can take a bus to Vienna or head back to Venice for another cheap flight. The choice is yours!
