Mitchell, South Dakota: Corn Palace

Corn Palace, also known as The World’s Only Corn Palace, is built from reinforced concrete with the exterior completely covered in themed murals made from thousands of native South Dakota corn, grain, and grasses. The palace is an auditorium and sports arena and the headquarters of Corn Palace Week.

Waterbury, Vermont: Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Graveyard

Have you wondered what happens to ice cream flavors that aren’t made anymore? Ben & Jerry’s created a Flavor Graveyard for all of its retired flavors with each flavor having a tombstone with the description of it and a poem about why it failed.

Alamogordo, New Mexico: McGinn’s PistachioLand-World’s Largest Pistachio

This New Mexico structure, created by Tim McGinn the owner of McGinn’s Pistachio Tree Ranch & Arena Blanca Winery, is 30-feet tall and located on the farm. After marveling at the sight of this giant pistachio, enjoy food and wine at the farm.
