Oheka Castle was built in 1919, as a summer home for investment banker Otto Hermann Kahn. Today part of this historic mansion is a luxury hotel, which means you can enjoy a high-end European experience in New York.
This spectacular red stone mansion was the home of famous circus owner John Ringling. The 1920s Gothic-style villa called Ca’ d’Zan (John’s House in Venetian dialect) was used as the backdrop for the 1998 film Great Expectations. Today it is fully restored, and open to the public as a museum.
Built in 1935 by the legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Fallingwater is considered a masterpiece of Wright’s theories on organic architecture. It served as a weekend home for the couple that owned Kaufmann’s Department Store.
