]]> Whether you’ve traveled extensively and are just dying to live abroad or you’re someone who wants to take on a new environment, living abroad can be tricky. If you want to 411 on how to live in another country, these are the easiest ways to do it.

Farming

Whether it’s through an organization like WWOOF or talking to farmers directly, being a farmer is a great way to live somewhere new, learn a new skill, and get your room and board paid for. It might be tough work, but it’s such a fun experience.

“Volunteering in farms has been an amazing adventure! Here in Mataro, we were 10 minutes walking distance to the beach so we went almost every day for 3 weeks, we got to eat delicious organic veggies from the garden, learned how a traditional Paella was cooked over a flame, learned how to plant garlic and make clones of plants. In return we got to feel good about the tile that Nick and I helped place in Oriol’s porch, loved to watch his artichokes grow beautifully, and we cleaned up his fields and prepared them with compost for the new season!! This host was also kind enough to take us sailing on his friends boat and was always showing appreciation for the hard work we put into his projects. We also got to share the hard work with 2 Germans that were also volunteering and met a cool English dude!! We definitely will be returning to this beautiful place that he called his paradise! ? ??” – #WWOOFer @madventurouskat
