The walls of Jal Mahal create a stark contrast to blue waters of the Man Sagar Lake, but this wasn’t the original plan for this building. Madho Singh I, who ordered its construction, only wanted to use it as a hunting lodge, but his son had different ideas after being enchanted by its beauty.

If you ever find yourself in Jaipur and want to enjoy the look at this incredible attraction, make sure to pay it a visit in the evening, as well, because it looks even more stunning when it’s illuminated.
