While Irish pubs can be found around the world, nothing beats those located in Ireland. These pubs connect the rich history with the present and future. Make sure you grab a pint while at these pubs in Ireland.

Grace Neill’s (Northern Ireland)

Located at Donaghadee, County Down, this bar has been around for 400 years and during that time it’s had pirates, sailors, smugglers, and soldiers, many of which didn’t leave. The pub has been visited by paranormal TV crews and spirit hunters, so make sure not to get too comfortable.

Sean’s Bar

According to The Guinness Book of World Records, this Athlone, County Westmeath pub has been around since 900, making it the oldest bar in Ireland and the world. Enjoy live music, food, and drinks in this long-standing spot.

The Old Thatch

The selling point of this Killeagh, County Cork pub is the thatched roof that’s believed to be the oldest thatched pub in Ireland. It’s been run by the same family since the 1600s and even through renovations in the ’60s, the roof remains.

The Crown Liquor Saloon (Northern Ireland)

This Belfast City pub has been one of the most recognizable Victorian bars since 1885. In 1978, the National Trust purchased it to make sure the beauty of the bar remains including the stained glass and woodwork.
