When you think of Ibiza, Spain, the image that probably comes to your mind is that of dancing, drinking, and staying out late at a party. While you can certainly do those things on this Balearic Island if you wish, there are so many other things to do if you plan a trip to this paradise.

So, what can you do other than party at bars in Ibiza? Check out these three plans that you must make on the island.

Cala Llenya

Much of Ibiza’s charm can be found in its beaches, from the large, crowded tourist hotspots to the small, sheltered “calas” which can be found all over the island. Cala Llenya is one of the best, located on the northeast corner of the island, sheltered from the wind and with clean sand and blue water.

Dalt Vila

Did you know that Ibiza is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site? While Ibiza Town, the center of island life, is better known as a party hub, its old town called “Dalt Vila” earned this distinction thanks to its history, beginning as a Phoenician trading port and experiencing control from groups like the Kingdom of Aragon, the Moors, and others throughout its past.

Es Vedrà

Technically, Es Vedrà isn’t actually the island of Ibiza, but rather a small islet located just off of Ibiza’s southwest coast. A big limestone rock that towers over 1,300 feet high, it’s rugged and can’t be visited, but one of the most spectacular sights you will see on the island is that of the sunset behind this tiny island.

We all know Ibiza as the perfect place for parties and a place with mesmerizing beaches. This place brings you back to life with its vivid landscapes and wild nights out, but here are 3 things you must see before you start partying.

Dalt Vila

This UNESCO protected site was built in the 16th century and is the highest and the oldest part of Ibiza Town. This fortified hilltop’s walls were constructed for defense against Berber Pirates and invasions. It has seven bastions, medieval mansions and other cultural sights that will take you back hundreds of years into the past.

Ibiza’s Cathedral

Close to Dalt Vila’s highest point stands this gorgeous gem of architecture. This Cathedral was built in the 14th century in the then-famous gothic style and later a sacristy was added. In 1952 the Cathedral was renovated in a baroque style.

Cala Conte

You can’t go to Ibiza and not visit this wonder of Mother Nature! These crystal shores offer you a magnificent view of the islands near the coastline, two stretches of sand, different areas to explore and calm, unique turquoise waters.  Also, if you’re a fan of sunsets, this is the best place to enjoy the magical view.
