]]>To avoid sleepless, sweaty nights ruining your trip, follow these top tips for coping when your accommodation doesn’t have AC.
Take a cold shower to lower your body temperature and feel clean and refreshed before bed. You can also rinse a washcloth in cool water, ring it out, and put it on your forehead or the back of your neck.
Drink plenty of water, with ice if your accommodation has some available. This will help cool you down AND it will keep you hydrated which is super important if you’re sweating a lot.
Shut the blinds before you leave in the morning. This will help to stop the sun beaming into your room and heating it up throughout the day. If safe to do so, leave the windows open to get some airflow.
While your accommodation may not have built-in AC, there may well be a standing or desk fan kicking about somewhere. Ask if you can borrow one and place it right by your bed. This will also help keep mosquitoes away!
