]]>According to the health organization called “International SOS” the most unsafe countries to travel are located on the African continent. Libya, South Sudan, Central African Republic, Niger, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Rwanda, Somalia, and Eritrea are the states that are marked red on the map.
However, not only the countries in Africa are dangerous for travelers. In Afghanistan, North Korea and Suriname the health care is almost non-existent or it is overly taxed. Don’t be surprised if you can’t find emergency or dental services in these countries. The risk of getting a disease or an infection is very high. Dengue, malaria, typhoid, and cholera are very common in these countries.
Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, some states in Latin America, Western European countries and Thailand are among the places declared as a ‘medium risk’ on the map, with some risk of diseases and emergency medical care described as ‘adequate’.
While the rest of Europe, North America, and Australia are among the countries with the best medical care for tourists.
