This impressive sequence of multi-tiered waterfalls falls over red rock platforms and it’s just 25 meters high, but that doesn’t take away from its beauty. Its waters are pretty calm when compared to some other waterfalls in Guyana, making it perfect for swimming.
A tributary of the Potaro River, this magical waterfall has to be seen to be believed. The rapids and falls that form it flow for around two miles before dropping to the plunge pool underneath it. The nature of this waterfall may change in the future because Amaila Falls Hydroelectric Power Plant is supposed to be built around it.
