Most airlines nowadays offer up an option to customers to “carbon offset” the environmental impact of their flights. This usually comes in the form of a monetary donation made to organizations that serve to plant trees and other vegetation to remove CO2 from the air.

Only Fly When Necessary

Flying is sometimes a necessary option for travel, but it doesn’t always have to be done when more eco-friendly options are available. For example, if you are thinking about flying from Washington DC to Boston, why not ride the Amtrak train instead, a much more eco-friendly option?
