Those who are familiar with the global wine scene will agree that the South American country of Chile is one of the most criminally underrated enological destinations on the planet. The delicious drinks made from grapes from vineyards located at the foot of the snowcapped Andes Mountains provide visitors with an attractive place to partake in wine tourism.

If you find yourself in Chile, here are three wineries that you must check out.

Emiliana Vineyard

This organic vineyard, located halfway between the capital of Santiago and the coastal city of Valparaiso, offers tours of its stunning grounds on which livestock are combined with the biodynamic agriculture that the winery promotes and practices.

Santa Cruz Vineyard

Located in remote central Chile, Santa Cruz is a great choice if you are looking for a rural getaway. This Colchagua Valley vineyard doesn’t only offer tours of its grounds, as it also includes an aerial tram lift so that visitors can see the vineyards from a new perspective.

Concha y Toro Vineyard

Travelers to the Chilean capital of Santiago should check out Concha y Toro, conveniently located only a short trip south from the big city on the banks of the Malpo River. This immaculately curated family-run estate is a place to get lost in the world of wine.

Are you a wine lover that’s tired of hearing about well-known regions such as Bordeaux and Tuscany?

If so, you might be ready to start branching out and looking for more undiscovered wine regions to visit. Fortunately, there are plenty of places that host spectacular vineyards that are still largely untouched by most tourists.

Here are our recommendations for some top wine regions that are worth a trip.

Ribeira Sacra: Galicia, Spain

Located in northwestern Spain is one of the most beautiful and unique wine regions in the world. Here, complex red wines are produced using the native Mencia grape which is grown and harvested by hand in the canyons created by the Sil River.

Mendoza Province: Argentina

Argentina is an underrated wine destination, and the Mendoza province is the heart of it all. The stunning backdrop of the Andes provides the setting for vineyards that produce excellent red wines such as Malbec.

Virginia: United States

Believe it or not, there’s good wine from the US that doesn’t come from California. Throughout the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, there are picturesque vineyards that make a variety of red and white wines that are worth your attention.

Marlborough: South Island, New Zealand

New Zealand is a stunning destination for the views alone, but when you travel to Marlborough, you’ll feel like you’ve landed in paradise. The white wines produced here are delicious, and the wild landscape is truly one-of-a-kind.

The capital of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region is known for being expensive, especially for wine lovers. However, what if I told you that the city’s best wine bar isn’t only full of delicious local creations, but is also economical and completely affordable?

Le Bar à Vin, located in the heart of the center of the city, is the number one wine bar that any visitor to Bordeaux must-see due to its wide selection of wines, its affordability, and the one-of-a-kind atmosphere that you will find there.

AOC Cremant De Bordeaux Brut ! Sensational!

Formed as part of the headquarters of the Bordeaux Wine Council, with which it shares a building, the bar’s mission is to train young sommeliers and present Bordeaux wines to visitors from around the world. These sommeliers do a fantastic job of explaining the choice of wines available to guests.

A huge selection of reds, whites, and sparkling wines are available, from the everyday to the world-class, all of which are typically under 6 euros per glass.

In short, this wine bar is an obligatory stop for anyone visiting Bordeaux. Wine lovers, rejoice! You’ve found a new favorite place to enjoy a glass of some of the world’s top wines.
