Ivory Coast is one of West Africa’s most captivating and diverse countries, and its national parks stand as a timeless testament to its natural beauty. Stunning natural wonders are scattered all around Côte d’Ivoire, and you’ll stumble upon some of them in these three national parks.

Taï National Park

A visit to Ivory Coast is incomplete if you don’t check out Taï National Park since it’s one of its top tourist attractions. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of West Africa’s last remaining primary rainforests and it was declared a national park in 1972 due to the incredible diversity of its flora and fauna, including several endangered species.

Banco National Park

Banco National Park may seem pretty modest compared to the last two, but it’s pretty popular due to its close proximity to the bustling city of Abidjan. It’s one of the rare few primary dense tropical forests located in the heart of an urban area, and it offers a great escape from the big city, inviting you to explore its lush landscapes and diverse wildlife.

Comoé National Park

Ivory Coast is also home to the largest protected area in West Africa: Comoé National Park. Another notable UNESCO World Heritage Site, Comoé covers everything from vast savannas to grasslands, and it’s home to the remarkable diversity of wildlife due to its multitude of different habitats.
